And so it was with the kind of wide-eyed, slack-jawed wonder that only those who have been lovers in springtime know that he beheld the vision of Eden who flitted out from the shadows of the forest into the dappled sunlight on the road.

Chapter 4: Blaze and Praise
Tyler rapped on the door, hard. It swung open almost immediately. A mixture of jazz, folk and hip-hop billowed out onto the porch behind a cloud of smoke. Laughter and chatter chased it. A middle-aged woman with loose dreadlocks was perched in the doorway. “Welcome to Blaze and Praise!” she effused.
